our Story
From humble beginnings to a thriving community – discover how iPIP has grown over the years
2019
The Beginning
iPIP was founded by a small group of passionate Pakistani IT professionals in Dublin who recognized the need for a dedicated platform to connect, support, and empower their community in Ireland’s growing tech sector.
2020
Community Growth
Reached 100 active members and hosted our first major networking event, bringing together professionals from leading tech companies across Ireland. This marked the beginning of our structured monthly meetups and professional development workshops.
2021
Strategic Partnerships
Established formal partnerships with major Irish tech companies and educational institutions. Launched our mentorship program, connecting senior professionals with newcomers to the Irish IT industry.
2022
Digital Transformation
Adapted to the global pandemic by transitioning to virtual events, significantly expanding our reach beyond Dublin to include members from across Ireland. Our online community grew by 150% during this period.
2023
Recognition & Impact
Received recognition from the Irish government for our contributions to the tech ecosystem. Launched initiatives supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, helping members launch their own startups and consultancies.
2024
Expanding Horizons
iPIP continued its strong growth in 2024, standing as a vibrant community of over 400 members, hosting 50+ annual events, and maintaining partnerships with more than 20 corporate organizations. Throughout the year, iPIP further strengthened its mission to bridge cultures and create meaningful professional opportunities for Irish Pakistani IT professionals. iPIP expanded its international footprint by actively participating in the DTS Tech Summit and collaborating with PASHA – Pakistan Software Export Board. A major milestone was the successful hosting of a high-impact technology and business engagement that brought together over 50 CEOs of leading Pakistani IT companies, alongside Enterprise Ireland officials, Irish IT companies, and representatives from the Embassy of Pakistan in Ireland. In addition, iPIP signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a leading Information Technology Professional Society for Pakistanis in Kuwait, further strengthening global collaboration and creating new cross-border opportunities for members across the diaspora.
2025
Strengthening Global Collaboration
In 2025, iPIP entered a new phase of international collaboration by joining hands with IBA Karachi, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and Tech Destination Pakistan. These strategic partnerships strengthened the bridge between Ireland and Pakistan’s technology ecosystems, enabling knowledge exchange, talent development, and cross-border opportunities for IT professionals and startups. Through joint initiatives, industry forums, and academic–industry engagement, iPIP played a pivotal role in positioning Irish Pakistani professionals as key contributors to global digital innovation..
2026
Scaling Impact and Future Leadership
In 2026, iPIP focused on scaling its impact by deepening corporate partnerships, expanding professional development programs, and empowering the next generation of technology leaders. With a strong foundation of over 400 members and a growing international presence, iPIP evolved into a strategic platform for leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The community continued to foster inclusive growth, cultural integration, and long-term collaboration—reinforcing iPIP’s mission to shape the future of technology while strengthening ties between Ireland and Pakistan.
